Yale Embodied Cognition Workshop

Twice per year

An immersive workshop exploring how cognition emerges through the body. Drawing from interdisciplinary research and practice, participants engage in movement, perception, and creative exercises that deepen awareness, refine attention, and expand how thinking is understood and applied.

A focused introduction to expressive arts therapy. Over six weeks, students work across visual art, movement, sound, and narrative to develop foundational skills in emotional processing, creative facilitation, and therapeutic presence.

A mentored research experience for advanced students working at the intersection of life sciences, creativity, and technology. Participants develop a focused question, conduct guided inquiry, and produce original work that supports academic advancement and future study.

Research shapes how a student is seen. It builds depth, credibility, and the ability to develop original ideas. In therapy, creative practice, and emerging technology, it becomes part of how students build trust, define their approach, and establish a clear professional identity.
